A New Style of Pinot Noir from Oregon
Elouan, the result of California winemakers venturing up to Oregon, one of the world’s renowned Pinot Noir regions. The goal: to produce Pinot Noir with depth of flavor, vibrancy and suppleness. For this wine we brought together fruit from three distinct terrains along Oregon’s premiere Western vineyards which harmonize beautifully when blended as one. The diversity of these districts along with a lengthy growing season create wines with intense structure, while maintaining a vibrant acidity that sets them apart from other wines.
“With Elouan we have managed to achieve ripe fruit characteristics, while retaining the quintessential Oregon Pinot Noir subtleties and nuances of bright acidity and a rich earthiness to the wine.”

Meet Joe
Joe is a fifth generation Napa Valley winemaker with a dedicated passion for the business. In 2001 at age nineteen, he rolled up his sleeves and has yet to look back. His passion and natural talent for winemaking quickly became apparent after he started his own award-winning single vineyard Pinot Noir label, Belle Glos.
In January 2014, Joe formed Copper Cane Wine & Provisions, with the goal of focusing on innovations that have always captured his interest, and to find new ways to offer the highest quality products that satisfy consumers’ appetites for genuine craftsmanship. Elouan is a result of that vision: Oregon Pinot Noir with depth of flavor, vibrancy, suppleness and sense of place.
Reinventing Oregon Wines
Winemaking
Pinot Noir is at its most pure and nuanced when grown in a temperate, cool climate. The delicate attributes of the grape and its tendency for early maturation means that Pinot Noir requires lower temperatures and ample sunlight to achieve optimal ripeness. Grown in the foothills of Oregon’s coastal range, an ideal location for the resonant style of Elouan Pinot Noir.
The name Elouan means “good light”, which is reflective of the typically cool summers, yet abundant sunshine found in this northern hemisphere winegrowing region. The unique climate, diversity of soil types and the gentle sunlight influence on both canopy and fruit, form the foundation of this wine’s northern character.
